Launched in 2016, API CK-4 provides advanced protection for modern diesel engines, especially those that meet 2017 on-highway greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standards. It is backward compatible with older API categories and offers enhanced oxidation stability, shear stability, and aeration control for both high and low sulfur fuels.
